# 12 / “HAIR” IT IS

“HAIR” IT IS.  This is one pretty healthy head of hair but I must say I would not like to be carrying it around all day.

# 7 / CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

On this clear day, we took a walk under the Ringling Causeway, toward Harts Landing.

This young boy is throwing out his casting net to catch his bait for fishing later.

And down the seawall is a gentleman fishing with a fishing pole.

At that moment the fish must be saying

“CATCH ME IF YOU CAN”.

#27 / LOST AND FORGOTTEN

The New Pass Grill seems to be LOST & FORGOTTEN.  As a child we would spend Saturday’s on what we called our own beach on Longboat Key.  After plenty of swimming, we then would stop for a great hamburger at the original New Pass Grill.  It brings me back to some great memories and in my mind it will never be Lost or Forgotten.

# 16 / HISTORY

In 1940 Motor Maids, Inc. was established as a women’s motorcycling organization in North America.  It is one of the first and oldest continuously operated women’s motorcycling organization.

With approximately 1,200 member across the United States and Canada, the Motor Maids are a diverse group of women motorcyclists united through a passion for riding while fostering a positive image and promoting safe riding skills.

Joining the Motor Maids is a great opportunity to ride, travel and get to know great people all across North America.

Dot Robinson & Linda Dugeau were the co-founders of the Motor Maids.  If you would like to read more about them go to motormaids.org.  Dot’s daughter Betty still rides with us at the age of 81 and she has been a member for over 65 years.  One must be a lady and  ride their own motorcycle or one belonging to a immediate family member.  Betty is shown in the photo below.  She is quite an inspiration to all of us.

My pick for HISTORY is to fill you in a little on one of the motorcycle organizations we ride with most of the time.  We have monthly meets around the state and a monthly Meet n Greet, at eateries, in local areas.  Every  July we have a convention in the US or Canada.  It is mandatory that everyone ride to & from convention (no trailering).

#46 / THE COLOR PINK

THE COLOR PINK pulled up next to us as we headed to dinner in St Petersburg.  We drove closer to take a picture from the front, unfortunately we had to stop at the traffic light and the bus zipped through quickly.  There should not be any reason you could not see this bus coming from a mile away.
